LOUDOUN COUNTY NATIVE
I will always be a small-town girl — that's exactly why clients trust me.

Sherry Santmyer is a fourth-generation native of Loudoun County. She was first licensed as a Realtor while still a student at Loudoun County High School. After years building a life and a business locally, she returned to real estate in 2016 and has since closed nearly $75M in transactions, becoming one of the top producing agents in Northern Virginia.
While representing the world's leading luxury real estate brand, Sherry's approach has never changed: genuine care, hard-won local knowledge, and a hands-on commitment to getting her clients where they need to be.

"... Sherry went the extra mile to understand my needs and ensure they were met. She made me feel like a priority, guiding me through the process with patience and enthusiasm."

OFF THE CLOCK
Her shih tzu Lola has been by her side for a decade. "My lifeline," Sherry calls her.
Sherry married Keith in September 2024, and the two now bike and walk together every chance they get. Between showings, she's an avid reader who shares her favorite books each year on her blog. In the annals of craziest thing that has happened in her time as a Realtor — once, in Durango, Colorado, a shoeless showing ended in an ER visit. She's worn booties ever since.

What's the craziest thing that has happened to you as a Realtor?
A showing in Durango, Colorado, once ended in an ER visit — a client stepped on a hidden fishing hook barefoot after I'd asked everyone to remove their shoes. He recovered, the seller covered the surgery, and I've worn booties on every showing since.
Why did you come back to real estate?
Going through a divorce in 2015 meant starting over. I went back to school for a business degree, and somewhere between buying, selling, and decorating my own houses, my sister-in-law pointed out the obvious: I loved houses. That comment restarted my whole career.
Your girl Lola appears to be your constant companion. How did she come into your life?
I picked Lola from a photo ten years ago, sight unseen, at five weeks old. She's been my lifeline ever since — the kind of steady, unconditional love that carried me through the hardest stretches. She's still by my side today.
You got married again in 2024. How has that changed your life?
Honestly, not much, and I mean that in the best way. Keith is steady, loyal, and easy to build a life with. We used to run together; now we walk and bike instead. Everything that mattered before still matters. He's just beside me now.
